Endings and beginnings

Defining this blog means I’m thinking about endings and beginnings.  I ended cancer treatment over a year ago and am beginning my new life as a cancer survivor.  My children are ending their childhoods and are moving into teen/tweenhood.  I began my MLS program last winter, hoping to begin a new career (in the worst recession since the depression, in a profession that some say is dying).

The period of my life when everything seemed possible has ended.  It’s up to me to see what’s around me, pick it up and use it.

My Mother-in-Law: Undead?

My mother-in-law, may she rest in peace, died almost eighteen months ago. Why does the water company insist on billing us for her water use *after* the house has been sold? We’ve asked to investigate, and they claim that the bill is justified.

They know something we don’t.

The birth of a new blog.

Dear Reader,

A little bit about myself.  This is my first blog.  I’m on the shady side of forty.  I can be cynical.  I am interested in culture and humor.

I’m not sure where this blog will go, but I will try to get into the habit of expressing myself here every day to find out.
